So many choices...
Reading nourishes the body; it feeds your spirit, soul, and mind. Just as healthy people select from a wide variety of foods, healthy readers select from a wide variety of texts. Having a little junk food is normal, but the bulk of your diet should be a balanced nutritious selection. In other words, dessert, e.g. Calvin & Hobbes, should not make up most of your diet.
Just like meals, reading is best as a social event. When you discuss your reading with others, BAM! You kick it up a notch.

FatsWe need these but too many and we can feel bogged down. Technical books like Adler's How to Read a Book and A Beginner's Guide to Construction the Universe: The Mathematical Archetypes of Nature, Art, and Science by Michael Schneider.
